A Word From the President

We appreciate you visiting our Fargo-Moorhead Area Association of REALTORS® website.

As our country continues to work its way out of a tough economic time, we are fortunate to be living in a state and community with a strong economic base.

With an unemployment rate of around 3.5% compared to the national rate of about 8.6% we live in a very stable state.

Interest rates remain at an all time low, and we have an adequate supply of homes from which potential home buyers may choose. What a great time to be a homeowner!

As I attend state and national conferences, talking with other Realtors about our market, the word “steady” is the best way I can explain it. Overall our average sales price has grown over the past decade and the future looks bright.

North Dakota is continually brought up at national functions as a great model for other states to follow. I believe we will continue to do so into the future.

As a Realtor association we are continually looking at legislation on the local, state and national levels that will impact our community and keep our client’s best interest in mind as we decide which to support or oppose.

In closing, I hope you are as excited about our community, state, and real estate market as I am.
